Oppose plans for breeding beagles for vivisection
New York based company Marshall Farms purchased UK vivisection breeder B&K Universal a few years ago. It has now lodged a planning application to construct four units to breed beagle dogs for vivisection. If permission is granted, many thousands of beagles will be imprisoned in kennels onsite to be sent on to laboratories. Please contact East Riding of Yorkshire Council and ask that the planning application be refused. The Planning Application Number is 11/01324/STPLF.
The deadline is May 2nd, so please act soon.

Dear Councillors, New York-based Marshall Farms purchased UK vivisection breeder B&K Universal from the Bantin family a number of years back. The site was cleared of all animals and breeding stock and has remained empty for over a year – until now. Now it comes to my attention that Marshall Farms have lodged a planning application under B&K Universal’s trade name with East Riding of Yorkshire Council to demolish all buildings on site and construct four units for use in breeding beagle dogs for vivisection. If permission is granted, many thousands of beagles will be imprisoned in the kennels onsite to be sent on to labs. The main clients of Marshall/B&K Universal in the UK are set to be toxicology research centers, where these sentient animals will be poisoned on a daily basis and suffer a painful, lingering death. I am against the expansion of this sick business and the reach out into the UK. I ask you to refuse this disgusting development. Thank you for your time and attention.
